Horn Company Creates Nutraceutical Group
Combines Two Business Units To Focus On Growth

Mirada, CA - August 28, 2003 - The
E.T. Horn Company, a leading distributor/supplier
of specialty chemical and nutritional products,
today announced that it is combining its Nutrition
and Nutri Granulations groups into a single
business unit to be known as the Nutraceutical
Group. This new business unit is aimed at providing
ingredients and solutions to the expanding global
nutraceutical marketplace, its manufacturers,
resellers and re-marketers.
According
to a March 2003 report published by the Business
Communications Company, Inc., during the five-year
period 2002-2007, global nutraceutical sales
are projected to grow at an average rate of
9.9% annually, reaching $74.7 billion by 2007.

Kevin
Salerno has been appointed to the newly created
position of President of E.T. Horn's Nutraceutical
Group. Previously, Mr. Salerno held the role
of Vice President of Sales at Nutri Granulations,
a privately held division of the employee-owned
E.T. Horn Company.
The
company also announced that its Nutrition Bar
and Powdered Drink business units have been
transferred to the FoodTech Group.
