E.T. Horn Company Selected By Loders Croklaan
as Exclusive Distributor of SensoryEffects™
Products in Western States
Pasadena,
CA – March 15, 2005 - The E.T. Horn Company, a leading distributor/supplier
of food ingredients and specialty chemicals, today announced that it has entered
into an exclusive distribution agreement with Loders Croklaan to represent
its line of SensoryEffects™
inclusions throughout the western United States. The announcement was made
during the Southern California IFT (Institute of Food Technologists) Suppliers
Night, held at the Pasadena Conference Center.
The E.T. Horn Company’s FoodTech Group will feature Loders Croklaan’s
SensoryEffectsÔ line of products that include ingredients that deliver
distinct flavors, pleasing aromas, appetizing appearances and textures. SensoryEffects
are lipid-based inclusions and bits that can be used in sweet and savory applications,
for use in bakery goods, hot cereals, and savory snacks. Loders Croklaan is
a key global producer in the supply of oils and fats and nutritional ingredients.

According to a study by the Freedonia Group, a leading international business
research firm, by 2009, global demand for flavor and flavor enhancers in baked
goods will grow over 33%, from $262 million in 2004 to $349 million.
Under the terms of this agreement, E.T. Horn will represent the entire Loders
Croklaan SensoryEffects product offering. The company provides fruity/sweet/brown
flavor inclusions such as apple, cinnamon, maple, blueberry, raspberry, chocolate
and vanilla. Savory flavors include a variety of cheeses, spices, pepper and
vegetable flavors.
