E.T. Horn Company Selected By White Oak Frozen Foods as
Exclusive Broker in Western States

La Mirada, CA – April 15, 2004 - The E.T. Horn Company, a leading distributor/supplier of food ingredients and specialty chemicals, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with White Oak Frozen Foods to represent its line of Reduced Moisture™ vegetables throughout the western United States.

White Oak’s reduced moisture IQF (Individual Quick Freeze) vegetables are Certified Pathogen Free and are used in industrial food manufacturing and foodservice applications. Reduced moisture vegetables are produced using a combined technology of dehydration and freezing that can eliminate up to 50% of the initial moisture of the fresh vegetable. This process improves the vegetable color, flavor, texture, reduces clumping and eliminates syneresis typically found in conventional IQF vegetables.

E.T. Horn will represent the entire White Oak IQF vegetable product line including: sweet green jalapenos, vine ripened tomatoes, mild green chilies, red and green bell peppers, zucchini, celery, sweet onions, broccoli florets, and a no-skin tomato dice.
