Scott Nichols joined E.T. Horn in July of 1998, having been previously employed at SKW Biosystems as a Technical Sales Representative of hydrocolloids, cultures, enzymes and dairy flavors. Prior to SKW, Scott spent 3 years as the Commercial Development Manager in the Pfizer Brewery Ingredients Group, having been responsible for product line sales and technical support in North and South America and Asia. Scott has also served with Kerry Ingredients as a Western Regional Sales Manager and had an additional 8 years of sales experience in the Pfizer Food Science Group in the Western Region.
Scott has his BA in Biology from California State University, Fresno, an MS in Ecology from UC Davis and an MBA from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California. He has also completed short courses in beer and cheese production.
Scott is actively involved in IFT. He has served as Chair of the San Joaquin IFT Section, and is responsible for organizing the annual SJIFT Scholarship Golf Tournament every October. This event has raised over $64,000 in scholarship funds over the past 12 years. In 2009, Scott was awarded an Outstanding Volunteer Award from IFT. Scott is also a member of NCIFT and the AACT (American Association of Candy Technologists).
Scott and his wife, Janet, are involved with US Masters Swimming and compete in USMS sanctioned swim meets as well as in the California Senior Games.
